authinfo-mode is an autoloaded, interactive and byte-compiled function
defined in auth-source.el.gz.

Mode for editing .authinfo/.netrc files.
This is just like fundamental-mode, but has basic syntax
highlighting and hides passwords. Passwords are revealed when
point is moved into the passwords (see authinfo-hide-elements).
This mode runs the hook authinfo-mode-hook, as the final or
penultimate step during initialization.
Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 27.1.
