denote-query-mode is a byte-compiled function defined in denote.el.

Documentation

Major mode for queries found in the variable denote-directory(var)/denote-directory(fun).

This is used by the commands denote-backlinks, denote-grep, denote-query-contents-link, among others.

In addition to any hooks its parent mode xref--xref-buffer-mode might have run, this mode runs the hook denote-query-mode-hook, as the final or penultimate step during initialization.
