Variable: cider-preferred-clojure-mode

cider-preferred-clojure-mode is a customizable variable defined in cider-util.el.

Value

auto

Documentation

Which Clojure major mode CIDER should use for the Clojure it produces.

This governs both the font-locking of Clojure snippets CIDER renders (REPL input and results, doc examples, debug and enlighten overlays, xref labels, and so on) and the major mode of the Clojure display buffers it pops up
(macroexpansion, results, tracing, and the like):

auto (the default): use clojure-ts-mode when Clojure source files
open in it and its tree-sitter grammar is ready, otherwise clojure-mode.
  clojure-mode: always use clojure-mode.
clojure-ts-mode: use clojure-ts-mode when available, else fall back
  to clojure-mode.

This variable was added, or its default value changed, in cider version 2.1.0.
