Documentation

Regexp matching files whose positions should not be recorded.

Useful to exclude temporary files, such as commit message files that are automatically created by VCSes. If set to nil, this feature is disabled, i.e., no files are excluded.

This variable was added, or its default value changed, in Emacs 24.1.
