Function: insert-before-markers-and-inherit
insert-before-markers-and-inherit is a function defined in editfns.c.
Signature
(insert-before-markers-and-inherit &rest ARGS)
Documentation
Insert text at point, relocating markers and inheriting properties.
Point and all markers at or after the insertion point move forward to
end up after the inserted text. This is unlike with insert and other
insertion functions, where before-insertion markers remain before the
inserted text.
If the current buffer is multibyte, unibyte strings are converted
to multibyte for insertion (see unibyte-char-to-multibyte).
If the current buffer is unibyte, multibyte strings are converted
to unibyte for insertion.
Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 19.20.
