Function: tty-enable-overline

tty-enable-overline is a function defined in term.c.

Signature

(tty-enable-overline FLAG &optional TERMINAL)

Documentation

Enable or disable overline support in TERMINAL.

This is used to override terminfo data for terminals that do not accurately state the Smol (overline) string capability.

When FLAG is non-nil enable overline support, when FLAG is nil disable overline support. When this function enables overline support, Emacs will always use the SGR 53 escape sequence regardless of what is in the terminfo database. This function has no effect if used on a non-tty terminal.

Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 32.1.
