markdown-ts-thematic-break which will span window width dynamically
using an underline, in which case this character is ignored.
The value is a cons (PREFERRED . FALLBACK): PREFERRED is used if it passes
char-displayable-p, otherwise FALLBACK is used.
Use nil to display the raw markup.
