Variable: vc-quick-select-current-working-tree

vc-quick-select-current-working-tree is a customizable variable defined in vc.el.gz.

Value

nil

Documentation

If non-nil, skip prompt when current working tree is the only choice.

By default, commands that may operate on any working tree still prompt you to choose a working tree even when there are no other working trees, i.e., when the current working tree is the only choice. This is so that the sequence of keys you must type to apply the command to the current working tree doesn't vary depending on whether or not there happen to be any other working trees, so you don't have to think about whether there are any other working trees while typing.

Customize this option to non-nil to change this so that when the only choice is the current working tree, Emacs skips prompting you. This doesn't apply to commands that can operate on only other working trees (i.e., not the current working tree) even if there is only one other working tree: such commands always prompt.

This variable was added, or its default value changed, in Emacs 32.1.

Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 32.1.
