which-func-mode is a buffer-local variable defined in which-func.el.gz.

Documentation

Non-nil means display current function name in mode or header line.

This makes a difference only if variable which-function-mode(var)/which-function-mode(fun) is non-nil.

Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 29.1.
