elide-head-mode is a buffer-local variable defined in elide-head.el.gz.

Non-nil if Elide-Head mode is enabled.

Use the command elide-head-mode(var)/elide-head-mode(fun) to change this variable.

Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 29.1.
