autonum and display math shortcuts

The autonum package redefines the \[…\] display math shortcut as a delimited macro. This prevents preview-latex from seeing the closing \] command. As a result, the preview can extend past the displayed formula, sometimes to the end of the document.

In documents using autonum, use an explicit \begin{equation} … \end{equation} environment instead of \[…\] for displayed formulas.
